When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. Acts 2:1 – The day of Pentecost was a massive day for the early church. It was the day the Holy Spirit came and dwelt in the lives of all believers of Jesus Christ. As we go throughout this chapter, we see some pretty amazing things happening. We see the apostles being able to speak in all different sorts of languages to the different people that were in the city Jerusalem that day. We see over 3000 people coming to know Jesus as a Lord and Savior! These are amazing things that happened this day because of the Holy Spirit’s arrival. What I love though is the posture that we see the disciples in right before the Holy Spirit came. We see it in verse one. They were all together. Together, that is the state disciples are in before the Holy Spirit made His appearance and moved as powerfully as He did. I believe there is something to that, that the disciples were together before the Holy Spirit arrived. I want to encourage you if you are desiring to see the Spirit move in a place, come together with your fellow brother and sisters in Christ. There is power when there is peace, unity, and togetherness within the church. Can the Holy Spirit just move in a single person‘s life? Absolutely He can, we see that all over scripture. But there’s also something to the truth that we see often in scripture when the body of believers come together that’s when we see some of the most powerful moves of the Holy Spirit. Let’s come together with our church and see what the Lord wants to do through us! I love you, but Jesus loves you more – Mac – Daily DEVO 3610
