Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God! Psalm 68:35 – “Awesome” is the perfect way to describe the God described within this psalm. We see a God who is more powerful than any force that comes against Him. Enemies of all size melt away from God like wax before fire. This God is the father to the fatherless and the protector of widows. The earth quakes as this God steps onto the scene. As He moves the lands and His people in His wake are provided for with an abundance. At His command are thousands upon thousands of chariots ready to defeat any foe. He brings blessing, salvation, and deliverance…and this is our God. Can any other word better describe such a God than awesome? While life currently for you may be filled with so many uncertainties and hardships, please remember the God in your story is not some weakling god who can’t handle the challenges in your life right now. You have an awesome God in your story today. Before the Lord every demon coming against you quakes in fear. Before the Lord every difficulty in our story looks small. Our God reigns on heaven and earth with wisdom and power and love. Our God is an awesome God. Remember this reality when the realities of this life seem overwhelming.
