I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. Deuteronomy 30:19-20 – The choice Moses set up for God’s people was not like our choices when we are trying to find something to watch. We scroll through all the different subscriptions we have, trying to find something to watch out of the hundreds of options. That though wasn’t the amount of choices Moses gave the people. It was life or death. It was blessing or curse. Moses even gave them his desire for them that they would choose life. In front of the people of Israel was the choice to enter into God’s blessing and life if they followed His ways, yet also the choice of curse and death if they rejected His ways. Such a choice is in front of you as well, and my words to you will be the same of Moses to the people of Israel…choose life. Eternal life and the blessing of Heaven are available to you today. The fullness of all joy, peace, and purpose is available to you this day. All this comes through the choice to follow Jesus…so choose Jesus which is choosing life.
