Psalm 77 – Pastor Mac Daily DEVO

Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen. Psalm 77:19 – Since I live so close to the church I work at, most of the time I simply walk to church in the morning. After a heavy rain though, the one street I have to cross can get a few inches deep of water. While that might be an issue for some, for me and my waterproof boots it’s nothing. I just walk right through. Now why do I bring all that up? This is how God see the oceans that stand in front of us. Like Moses coming up to the edge of the Red Sea and seeing the path forward looking completely impassible, we to can see the circumstances of life that come in front of us as things we could never walk through. The hardship is just too hard, and the night is just too dark. The imagery given to us in this verse is that while such things seem impossible for us to pass through, for God it’s nothing. Like me walking through a few inches of water, God’s way is through the deepest of oceans and it’s no problem for Him. While I don’t know the hardships you are facing and how impassible they feel to you, I want you to know for God it’s not only a doable walk but a familiar walk for Him. Let the Lord carry you through the depths in your life. While you may not be able to see the bottom or even see His feet moving because it’s so deep and dark, God can take you through that which is impassible for you. I love you, but Jesus loves you more – Mac – Daily DEVO 3491

Question To Ponder: How does it feel knowing you have a God able to pass through that which is impassible for you?
