- May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, Selah that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations. Psalms 67:1-2 – In these two verses we see the complete purpose of our life with God. First that God would shine His face on us, to look on us and pour out His favor and grace on us. Then taking all that as fuel we go out and let the world know about God’s ways and the power He has to save! This passage for me is resonating with so much of what God has been working in me this year so far, to settle even deeper into the real reason as to why we exist. To love Him and to love people. Reflect on all that God has poured out on you and in you. Then, show the world they can have all that too! I love you, but Jesus loves you more – Mac – Daily DEVO 1130
- Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. Selah Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you! Psalm 67:3-5 – All the people. I love the sound of that! Everyone everywhere singing God’s praise. Every tribe, every nation, in every language singing and worshiping Jesus. Every knee bowing before God and acknowledging Him as Lord. That would be a wonderful sight, but as you well know, we are far from that right now. Every knee isn’t bowing and many voices aren’t praising God. How then can we begin shifting this lack of worship towards worldwide praise of God? As verse 2 in our psalm states, it takes getting the knowledge of God’s saving power among all the nations first. How can they worship a God they’ve never heard of? Do you want to see the world praising God? Then tell someone about Jesus! Lean into their story, speak of the wonders of Jesus, tell His story, and tell them how He can help their story. Worldwide praise of God begins with us who know Jesus telling those who don’t about Him. I love you, but Jesus loves you more – Mac – Daily DEVO 2027
