For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Galatians 6:3 – Paul starts out our chapter by reminding the church of our vital role in one another’s life. If we see a brother or sister in Christ stuck in sin, our role is to help them get unstuck. We aren’t…

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1 – Hallelujah Christ has set us free! This is the blessing and promise of Easter, that we have been set free from the bondage of slavery to sin and the enemy and ushered into new life and…

But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more? Galatians 4:9 – Often I have heard from people that the scariest passage in all of scripture…

So I confronted the officials and said, “Why is the house of God forsaken?” And I gathered them together and set them in their stations. Nehemiah 13:11 – While seeing this backtrack in faithfulness is hard for us to see, imagine the pain it caused Nehemiah. These last few chapters have been filled with Spirit…

And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and they purified the people and the gates and the wall. Nehemiah 12:30 – What a special day this was for the people! The wall was rebuilt and now was a day to dedicate it with worship. Worship leaders from all around in the Jewish community were…

These are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the towns of Judah everyone lived on his property in their towns: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the descendants of Solomon’s servants. Nehemiah 11:3 – Certainly a difficult chapter to read through due to it being almost completely a list…
