Psalm 9 – Pastor Mac Daily DEVO

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10 – This psalm is filled with the contrasting future of those who oppose God and those who turn to God. For those that oppose the Lord, we learn that God will ultimately take care of them. Their cities will be uprooted, they will stumble before His glorious presence, the memory of them will be wiped away, and they will be thrown in Hell. So when I said God would ultimately take care of them, I wasn’t kidding! Then in contrast to that we see what the Lord will do for those that turn to Him. He is a refuge for them, they will never be forgotten, and they’ll be welcomed in the gates of Heaven where they will praise the wonders of the Lord. With such different outcomes, how then can we find ourselves on the side of blessing and not the side of destruction? Verse 10 guides us to that answer. We when have a relationship with the Lord is when we know His name. When we put our complete confidence in the Lord is when we truly trust Him. When we devotion our life to following His word is when we can say we are truly seeking Him. Let’s then ask ourselves these important questions. Do you have a relationship with Jesus yet? Does He have your complete confidence in all things in your life? Are you following what His words says? Know His name, trust in Him, and seek the Lord. Such a life is where David was at and such a life can enjoy the blessings we see David enjoying. I love you, but Jesus loves you more – Mac – Daily DEVO 2964

Question To Ponder: What is something God directs us to follow in His word that you know you need to grow in?
